honeymoon

We were able to get away for a few days after the wedding before returning to our very buys lives. I asked Dennis to plan the honeymoon and surprise me. Poor guy!! Who knew he would have stressed over it the way he did. He just wanted me to be pleased with it all and I was. It was nice and relaxing and it gave us two a chance to get caught up on all that we had missed out on since we got engaged. LOL! It sounds crazy, I know... but we barely saw each other after he proposed. With a quick wedding there was so much to do and so little time.
We stayed at a place in Yukon called The Red Rooster. It was a bed and breakfast but what they had done was turn old train cars into suites! It was the cutest thing and we really thought it was cool! She kept it stocked with coffee and hot cocoa and popcorn. What a neat little place!

I cannot wait to see the pictures that she got from the rehearsal dinner (where she was very sick and still did the pictures) and then the wedding day from prep to reception. Hope you enjoy!!

catch up #2

Ok, I'm back and ready to blog! I've got so much to catch up on and can't wait to get it all posted. I will not be doing things in much of an order. I do not have any of the pictures back yet from the photographers of the rehearsal dinner and the wedding day prep, the wedding and the reception. I have bridal shots, pictures from the honeymoon and things like that so I will be posting. :)

catch up

Well it's been over a week since my last post so here is the "catch up" post.

In the last week I have finished ( I think... ) purchasing the last of the items needed for the wedding. The big stress stuff is over and now I'm just going to try my hardest to stay calm and enjoy the next week. We are getting married in 8 days!!! I still have packing to do along with a few other things but I'm to the excited stage rather than the freak out stage I was in.

Tomorrow is my bridal shower. I am super excited about this. Some people that I love dearly cannot be there and I will miss them. I completely understand the reasons for not being able to come and pray that they are all safe in their travels and other adventures. Love you all!!!
The women/girls in the family are all meeting for lunch tomorrow before the shower to spend some much needed time just hanging out, and eating of course!! I can not wait for this! I know it sounds totally selfish but this is my party and I am loving it!! :) I'm not usually fond of being the center of attention but I think tomorrow will be fantastic. I hope to take lots of pictures... well have someone take some for me. I don't have the best camera and I will be busy with other things.

Engaged

Well, I'm engaged!! I am so excited and ready to get through the next 5 weeks.

He proposed last Friday night. It was January 15th and I was so surprised. I am such a big bawl bag that I just knew I would cry if someone ever asked me to marry him. Well... he cried while he was asking and for some reason all I could do was laugh. I guess it was excitement or nerves... I'm still not sure. I did cry after the ring was on my finger but spent almost the whole rest of the evening laughing.

After the first hour or so, I couldn't hold it in any longer. We drove all over the place telling my family. I was just SO excited!!! They are all very happy for us, of course. :)

We have already set a date! February 27th. Yes, I know... it is very quick!!! We are ready and we are going to have a small wedding. Lots to do!!!
