Last night I got to attend Tyler's baseball practice. I'm hoping to be able to make it to more of the practices and I'm very excited for his games to start. I managed to snap a few pictures during practice last night...
his face in these pictures crack me up!!
We have a lot of work to do before the games start and since he's the pitcher we have our work cut out for us!!
While spending a lot of time in Oklahoma City during our honeymoon, we were able to go to the OKC memorial and museum. It was very sad and we both cried at times but it was also very informative and amazing to see. We were both so moved by the whole thing and if you have not been, we encourage you to go! I was only able to take pictures outside. Pictures in the museum were not allowed and after touring it, I understand why. Below are a few of the pics I took of the memorial. We need to remember to be in prayer for our country and for those family members who have lost loved ones in horrible terrorist acts such as this and 9/11. We also need to remember the fallen soldiers and those who are fighting for our freedom.
We were able to get away for a few days after the wedding before returning to our very buys lives. I asked Dennis to plan the honeymoon and surprise me. Poor guy!! Who knew he would have stressed over it the way he did. He just wanted me to be pleased with it all and I was. It was nice and relaxing and it gave us two a chance to get caught up on all that we had missed out on since we got engaged. LOL! It sounds crazy, I know... but we barely saw each other after he proposed. With a quick wedding there was so much to do and so little time. We stayed at a place in Yukon called The Red Rooster. It was a bed and breakfast but what they had done was turn old train cars into suites! It was the cutest thing and we really thought it was cool! She kept it stocked with coffee and hot cocoa and popcorn. What a neat little place!
These are a few of the pictures from the bridal shoot that I had with Miss Johannah. She did an awesome job! Such a talented young woman... I cannot wait to see the pictures that she got from the rehearsal dinner (where she was very sick and still did the pictures) and then the wedding day from prep to reception. Hope you enjoy!!
Ok, I'm back and ready to blog! I've got so much to catch up on and can't wait to get it all posted. I will not be doing things in much of an order. I do not have any of the pictures back yet from the photographers of the rehearsal dinner and the wedding day prep, the wedding and the reception. I have bridal shots, pictures from the honeymoon and things like that so I will be posting. :)
About to become a family that is striving to become closer with each other and grow our relationship with God.
KARA
I'm Kara and I welcome you to my blog! I hope you will enjoy the random, sometimes completely pointless posts that I will be adding along with the somewhat intellectual but not too serious thoughts I may stumble into. Born and raised in a small town, I have learned to appreciate the good things that come along with it. I love to go places and visit but in the end, I want to go home. I'm beginning the biggest journey of my life soon. I'm marrying the man that I thought never existed. Along with this marriage comes the most wonderful little boy! God has blessed me in so many ways and I cannot begin to express my thankfulness.
Dennis
As you can see, Dennis is pretty much goofy and crazy! We both love to have fun and from this picture you can see that I've got my hands full! He is funny, spontaneous, ridiculous to try to take pictures with but he is also very sweet and loving and I could not have been blessed more! God had to have made us for each other... there is no other way of viewing it. I love him so much and can not wait to begin our lives together!
Tyler
Tyler is one of the sweetest kids ever! I'm not just saying that because I love him and I'm marrying his dad. He really is!!! He is kind-hearted and very funny. He keeps us on our toes and laughing most of the time. I consider myself very fortunate to have this little man as part of my life. I can only hope to be the godly influence and example that he needs.
